Sundays are a day for relaxing, so why don't you self indulge in these delightful mint aero brownies. I am now currently sat here trying to not consume them all, whilst this would be the best decision whilst eating them, I would definitely regret it in the next 5 minutes. This is such a versatile recipe which you can add any chocolate or sweets of your choice. I really want to try adding the Cadbury's Crunchie Rocks or Milkyway's next time. - Maybe not for a few more weeks though, as my waistline may not agree, whilst my taste buds say yes!
Recipe:
4 // Eggs
Chocolate of your choice // Mint aero bubbles
100g // Flour
40g // Cocoa powder
200g or two bars// dark or milk chocolate (personal preference)
250g // caster sugar
100g // butter (unsalted)1.) Preheat your oven to 180 degrees (fan) or gas mark 4, and also line your baking tray with some grease proof paper. (Trust me, it will save your life and taste buds)
2.) Then melt your butter and 200g of chocolate in a small microwaveable container, or if you prefer in a bowl on a low heat above boiling water. - Once melted leave at the side to cool down before adding it to the rest
3.) Whisk your eggs, flour and sugar together to create a fluffy mixture. Then fold in the cocoa powder, and then the chocolate mixture
4.) Once you have your chocolate brownie mixture, drop in the Aero bubbles (or chosen chocolate). Ensure they are mixed in thoroughly to help create an even distribution in the brownie mixture. 5.) Once the mixture is done, place into your baking tin (make sure it's line with greaseproof paper!) Then spread the mixture out evenly, ensuring it meets the sides.
6.) Place in the oven for 25 minutes... then if you poke in the middle and the mixture is still runny, briefly draw out where you want the brownies to be cut and place back in the oven for 5 minutes.
7.) Take out the oven and leave them to cool
8.) ENJOY!!!!
All the hard work is done, now for the easy bit! Sit back, relax and bite into your freshly made mint aero brownies.
A little tip to myself for improvements and for you guys if you love a peppermint taste, adds some peppermint essence. You can still taste the Aero's but I wish it had a little bit of a kick. Also for a more even distribution two bags of your favourite chocolate or sweets as well!
I hope you enjoyed this post, and I hope you enjoy indulging in these brownies. Have a lovely Sunday!
